As sad as it is, I hope it only takes one kid to get hurt before something is don't do it don't happen to another child! Thankfully the Family has a speedy recover!!

In general people suck! Even the fact that a petition is needed for something like this perfectly reasonable request kinda proves it. Not to mention the careless moronic drivers out there. Ugh.

This is a issue in my neighbourhood as well. I am in Mount Pearl, and yesterday while on the bus stop with my child, and many more children, the vehicles just speeded by while the children were on the side of the road waiting for the bus.

Best of luck, I live on a main road.. Speed limit is 50 but it's treated like a passing lane.. Accidents have already happened here, pets killed.. praying nobody gets hurt, or worse. Hope your little one is on the mend soon!

50 km is absolutely too fast in a Resudential area. Speed bumps hopefully slow them down.

Drivers exceeding speed limits is a huge problem ... for all kinds of unacceptable reasons. And the problem is growing! I totally support installation of a speed bump or a 'watch your speed' sign.

Hope you get the speed reduced. There used to be 30 km signs when I was growing up. That speed should be bought back to residential areas before something unmentionable happens. Good luck!
