Take action before another child is injured or killed on this street. On all streets!

When my youngest was in grade 3 she watched a friend of hers get hit, we live in a residential area too, She's 21 now and still has problems and pins in her legs. This is no laughing matter. How can we teach are children to ride bikes, trust they will be ok as they get older to go to a friends ect if people are driving like that. All residential areas should be 40 and monitored and if still a problem put speed bumps, All the newer areas in are city have them. Thanks for your time.

That's awful it should already be done if there are kids at play if they know kids live in that area they should already be put up

As a mother, the recklessness of today's drivers terrifies me. We need all safety measures in place, reduced speed limits and tougher punishments. Something has to change to protect our little ones.

this is a serious issue kids don't always think to look both ways when all they have in their minds is innocent thoughts thinking worst case senerios is something we get as we get older so we should make this change to protect the future generation

I live in south lands, and agree drivers exceeding posted speed limits and ignoring rules of the road a common occurance. We need more ticketing police patrols. I have seen police let speeding drivers off with just verbal warnings. Not good enough.

I am not a Newfoundlander , yet I am disgusted with the way people drive without and caution in this province

There is no need for the speed to be at 50km. Congratulations, a child has now been hit. Thankfully he is still alive.....will you do something about it now?

This is not the first time this has happened in south lands, it happened years ago as well. The speed limit needs to be lowered, something needs to be done.

50km is the same speed as the main roads throughout the city and is not a sensible speed in an area where so many children are at play. Nowhere near my house in Elizabeth Park is there a residential street with a speed limit above 30km.

Speed bumps should be anywhere there are plenty of children at play, along with decreased speed limits.

Not just for this street but every street where kids are at play or school I moved to AIrports 3 weeks ago and people are crazy they don't follow proper driving speed at all
