This has been a concern for quite some time. A child was hit by a car last year. We need to do something now before there is a fatality.

I always believed all residential areas should be 30 km/h. Why is everyone in this city always in a hurry?

If there are children in the area, drivers need to be more cautious, as does the community as a whole.

Lower speed should be the norm for all residential areas, in all towns, to keep kids and walkers safe.

Come on City of St. John's how much does an electronic watch speed sign or a speed bump cost? Compare that to a life of a child. The decision should be easy!! If it's not, we've elected the wrong people.

I have an issue of speeding around my daycare centre which is only meters away from a hospital zone. There was a sign like the one in the photo placed beyond the centre to attempt to slow the traffic for the hospital zone but not before the centre. Good luck!

I found if very strange moving to Soutlands and realizing the speed limit was 50 on residential streets? All residential areas need to be lowered to at least 30 and enforced.

The drivers in St. John's, Mt. Pearl and surronding areas have gotten so bad, there should be speed bumps on residential streets where these things happenes. Prayers that your little boy gets better real soon. Hope everything goes well with the petition.

People need to slow down, not just in school zones, not just during school hours. The are children playing on residential streets, every day. I'd people aren't going to slow down on their own accord, install speed bumps that force them to slow down. Our children shouldn't have to suffer because of someone else being in a hurry to get somewhere.
