We would recommend that the project consider moving 5 miles east on 303 and north of the road - area of no housing.

Not in a rural area among housing residents young & old that do not want more truck traffic and foul odors eminating from such!

Do not put this facility near us. There is a lot of desert out there to choose from! Why in the world would you put it so close to housing?

This is totally inexcusable. This is a family neighborhood and we don't want to make it into an industrial dump station

According to the EPA Well-managed waste transfer stations are: • Located, designed, and operated to ensure the public health, safety, and welfare of the community and environment. • Located so as to minimize incompatibility with the character of the surrounding area. • Located where traffic patterns to or from the facility minimize the impact on existing traffic flows. • Consistent with state, local or tribal regulations and solid waste management plans. This project fails on points 1,2,3

We have noticed a public notice posting at 115th Ave. & Happy Valley Road regarding a"Zone Change with Overlay Request and Public Hearings" to request to re-zone five across from a "Rural Zoning District" to "Heavy Industrial Zoning District Industrial Plan of Development" to allow for a recycling and waste transfer station at that location. We strongly oppose this plan because not only would it be of an environmental concern, it would also greatly impact the values of the homes that are practically across the street from this property. It would also affect the values of the homes in a 5-10 mile radius. The noise and the smell would also be offensive to the residents in the area. There has to be more remote locations for this type of facility to be built. We highly recommend that they find another parcel of land. The land they want to use should be reserved for family friendly neighborhood purposes! Perhaps for a park, playground and/or sports fields. Hopefully you will VOTE NO on this! It's a very bad idea!
