(Washington Residents ONLY) Sample plate shown.

The Washington Apple Commission is proposing the creation of a new Washington specialty license plate to support Washington apples, the state’s leading agricultural commodity. The license plate recognizes the rich history of our state's apple industry, the dedicated growers, and the renowned international reputation of Washington apples worldwide. By signing this petition, I show my support for the Washington Apple Commission’s Washington Apple license plate.

We need your help to bring the bill for this special license plate to the Washington legislature in January 2020. The Washington Apple Commission is collecting signatures to support the legislative passage of adding a Washington Apple license plate design. Our goal is to collect 3,500 signatures by January 2020 so that the license plate bill may be introduced during the 2019 Washington legislative session by Senator Brad Hawkins.

The funding generated by the special license plate will provide scholarship support to the Washington tree fruit industry’s official charity, the Washington Apple Education Foundation, which provides financial support, professional employment preparedness training, and mentorship to students with ties to the apple industry pursuing a higher education.

Please proudly show your support of Washington Apples and sign the license plate petition!

For your signature to be valid you must:

  • Be a resident of Washington
  • Be a Washington registered motor vehicle owner
  • Complete all information requested. Information will not be shared except to the Washington Department of Transportation Committee for approval.

The license plate designed will be proposed to the State of Washington but may not represent the final approved plate at the time of production.

Help celebrate Washington apples today with your signature!

***NOTE: After you click the "Sign!" button, a donations page from iPetitions will appear, the online petition service tool. Please be aware this is completely unrelated to the Washington Apple License Plate and Washington Apple Education Foundation and any contributions made on this page will not go to the specialty license plate or WAEF. After clicking "Sign!" you have completed all necessary steps and may exit out or share with others!***

This will help raise awareness outside of the main Eastern Washington production areas (think King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties) something we need as an industry

I'm the 4th generation in my family to live in Wenatchee, and 3 generations of my family were fruit growers. Very proud of my heritage!

As long time apple grower and former board member of the Washington Apple Commission and the Washington Apple Education Foundation I support and would purchase the proposed plate.

Please work on the apple logo to look like the cosmic crisp. Right now, it's pretty much the red delicious. The shape, color, and maybe some highlights need improved.
