THIS PETITION IS FOR COLORADO RESIDENT MOTOR VEHICLE OWNERS ONLY!
*** Please be sure to specify your FIRST & LAST NAME when signing the petition.
Transportation & Construction GIRL TM (TCG) and the HOYA Foundation are working to get a group specialty license plate approved to support and promote careers in construction and transportation for young women. Please complete the online petition and help TCG get 3,000 commitments for these specialty license plates in 2025.
The HOYA Foundation started TCG to encourage more young women to pursue careers in transportation and construction. Why? Because only 11% of the construction work force is women. That fact carries economic implications and substantial opportunities.
TCG is committed to helping young women learn about financially sustainable careers in transportation & construction. TCG was created to draw attention to women in the transportation and construction industry and prompt others to join. TCG’s goal is for women to push past the stereotypes and pursue a career in transportation and construction!
If approved by the legislature in 2025, the specialty license plates should be produced and available for purchase by 2026. The specialty license plate will remain in production as long as more than 3,000 plates are in circulation. If the circulation drops below 3,000 license plates, the state DMV can retire the license plate.
FOR YOUR PETITION TO BE VALID, YOU MUST:
1) LIVE IN COLORADO AND BE A COLORADO MOTOR VEHICLE OWNER
2) COMPLETE ALL INFORMATION REQUESTED (full name, email address, full residence address, including county of residence)
*** Please be sure to specify your FULL NAME when signing the petition.
TCG will only share this petition information with the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles and the Colorado Legislature as part of the formal specialty license plate application process. TCG will not share, sell or give your personal information to any other organization or entity.
*NOTE: After you click the "Sign Now" button, you may be presented with a donation page from iPetitions, the service that is hosting TCG's petition. Please be aware that this is optional and is completely unrelated to the license plate application process. Providing a donation to iPetitions will in no way benefit TCG or the HOYA Foundation. Should you elect to make a donation, 100% of your gift goes to iPetitions.

We just hit 500 signatures proving that Coloradans are sick of the gender gap in construction. The legislature better be paying attention because we are just getting started.

The state legislature is dragging its feet but they cannot ignore us if we hit this target. We are creeping toward 500 signatures so push this link out to every Colorado driver you know right now.

The Colorado DMV and state legislators still have no idea how ready we are to change this industry. We are working behind the scenes to force their hand and break the male-dominated status quo of our highways. Keep your eyes on this space because we are not backing down until those plates are on the road.
