New Hampshire House Bill 688-FN details the creation of a new license plate where proceeds support agricultural education throughout the state. Funds raised will be divided equally into 4 parts as follows:
1. NH Agriculture in the Classroom (increase student awareness about the food, fiber and fuel systems critical to their everyday lives - provide educators with curricula which teaches core curriculum concepts using agricultural topics - provide field trips, teacher workshops, resources, etc.)
2. NH FFA Foundation(a national leadership organization for students involved in the science, business and technology of agriculture - develops students' potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education - scholarships, training programs, career development events, etc.) 3. NH Farm to School Program(supports healthy eating and healthy food choices in schools by providing training to schools and farmers on the procurement of local foods for school meal programsand other institutions- school garden workshops and resources–regional and state wide events and conference) 4. Classroom Grant Program(funds will be made available through a competitive application process for classrooms, municipal groups and nonprofit organizations to develop agriculturally related projects such as school gardens and hydroponic systems) Agricultural Education is critical to the future of New Hampshire as it effects everyone on a daily basis. Regardless of age, health, financial status or home environment, we all share the need for food, clothing, fuel and shelter. Without investing in today's students, we will have trouble meeting future demand as the populations grows.New Hampshire residents, PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT BY SIGNING THIS PETITION. THANK YOU!

Reaching this level of visibility takes a toll but seeing so many people back this initiative makes the exhaustion worth it. I am still here pushing because our students deserve the resources this plate will provide.

The process of moving this bill forward has been far more draining than I ever anticipated. I am tired of the bureaucratic stall tactics but I remain committed to making sure our agricultural programs get the funding they deserve.

This license plate will help keep healthy, locally produced food in the State and reduce our alliance on imported food.
NH has only three days worth of food on the shelves at any given time. Our farmers are aging. Training young people to grow food is a matter of utmost security for our state.
The NH Farm to Restaurant Connection believes this legislation is far overdue. Our farmers have had less support from our legislators than our Vermont and Maine neighbors.e is
As a former ag student and NH State FFA officer, I can not even start to tell you how much agriculture education and the FFA has helped me.
I graduated from Newport High School and had a wonderful experience raising hogs in our ag department however the animal science portion has since been ended and they only offer forestry and horticulture...I think animal sciences are very important (I myself not be a dairy farmer today without that education) and I would really love to see that program offered to students once again.
Please do this!!
Nice design!
