As a former student trustee and contributing alumnae, I support the demands of these student leaders. The implementation of these ideas will make WWC a better, more brightly-shining place.

Thank you to the powerful leadership of the WWC Black Student Union. WWC must meet all of these demands to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of the Black community on campus. Alum of 2014.

I commend the efforts to address salient issues for this community! All of us, past and present WWC Community members, need this effort to succeed!

WWC faculty, 2009-2015

I witnessed first hand the racism that affects students and staff. During a writing class led by a black man, teaching about James Baldwin, a Kenyan woman was subject to racist comments. Students asked her what *makes random clicking noises* means. Among other incidents, the ignorance and complicity must come to and end.

As an alumni, I support the Black Student Union in their methods and goals. I believe these steps will bring WWC closer to parity and make it more like the college we all want it to be.

Action now

The demands outlined by WWC BSU are long overdue. To deny Black students, staff, faculty, and alumni the same safety, comfort, and respect you offer to white students is, at best, complacency in the perpetuation of white supremacy. Now is the time for listening and change. This school has the power to implement real change to help the material, social, and emotional condition of Black community members. Step up.

I am a former student and I 100% stand for this message. Warren Wilson needs to become a safer space for Black, Indigenous, People of Color.

As a white Latinx student I will keep my comment short. Having read and reflected on the demands in their entirety, I one hundred percent stand by them as a former co-leader of the Latinx Students Collective, a former WIDE crew member, and an alum. I further commit that I will not be donating to the college until I see thse demands met.

Warren Wilsom College must meet all of BSU's demands.
