WE, the residents of Ward 4, demand that our representatives support us in keeping Wal-Mart out of our community. Our goal is for Upper Georgia Avenue to thrive; not become a sea of abandoned buildings with a Wal-Mart at the center. The proposed Wal-Mart will:
• Prevent further economic development
• Depress the retail wages in a community
• Put small businesses at risk, reducing the number of total
retail jobs
• Increase traffic on already congested streets
• Decrease local residential property values

The momentum behind this effort proves that Ward 4 residents choose local businesses over corporate expansion. We need to keep this pressure on our council members so send an email to your representative today demanding they reject the Wal-Mart proposal.

We moved here for the community feel. This goes against everything we want for ward 4.
The traffic is already a total nightmare. Adding a walmart is just gonna make it impossible to get to work on time.
Walmarts always kill the local economy. My family wants to keep our property values up not down.
Keep our neighborhood local!! We dont need another big box store ruining the character of Georgia Ave.
Ugh not again. We need better options than a walmart.
