We, the undersigned, request that the Monroe City Council NOT APPROVE the site plan submitted by Wal-Mart.
Any such store of this magnitude catering to a region-wide market will significantly compound traffic congestion on already saturated streets and will have a profound and detrimental impact to the surrounding area businesses, neighbors and residents of Monroe.

I was just out by the North Kelsey site earlier and honestly the traffic is already a total nightmare even without a massive store sitting there. The city council keeps ignoring my emails but I am currently drafting a much longer letter to them with all your stories about how hard it is just to get out of your driveways now.

Stop destroying our quiet residential streets for corporate profit. Monroe deserves better!
The traffic there is already a nightmare every single morning. We dont need more gridlock in our neighborhood.
Are you kidding me? The roads cant handle what we have now let alone a giant walmart. This is a terrible idea.
Too close for comfort. The noise and the trucks will be a disaster for anyone nearby. DONT DO IT.
Keep big box stores out of our area. It will just kill all the small businesses that give this town character.

PLEASE NO! We chose to live here because it was a tight knit community. This will ruin everything.
