I, the undersigned, and my family strongly urge the members of the Broomfield City Council, acting as BURA, to reject any forthcoming proposals to purchase the Barber property at 4651 W. 120th Ave. by the Wal-Mart Corp. We firmly believe Wal-Mart is NOT A GOOD NEIGHBOR and would have an extremely detrimental effect on our local businesses, property values, traffic patterns, local wages, unemployment numbers, our taxes due to increased public health care costs, the crime rate, the environment, and the general social and economic health and well being of our community. We strongly oppose the use of our sales tax dollars enabling the building of a Wal-Mart, the world\'s richest retailer, in Broomfield. Furthermore, we pledge to NOT SHOP at any future Wal-Mart built in Broomfield. Depending on the survival of existing similar retailers, this may well result in our spending our tax dollars outside of Broomfield.

The corporate suits at Wal-Mart think they can just roll into Broomfield and destroy our neighborhood. We are nearing five hundred signatures so flood your social media feeds and force the city council to look at our demands.

Terrible location for this. Why would they even consider this spot? Think about the residents for once.

NO WAY. My kids walk to school near there. Its way too dangerous with the extra cars. Stay away Walmart!

We have enough traffic on that corner already. Do not build this here.

Keep Broomfield local. We dont need another big box store ruining our property values. Bad idea for the whole neighborhood.

Enough is enough. Small businesses are the heartbeat of this town. This will kill them off.

Total BS. We pay enough taxes already without adding more problems to our streets. Go somewhere else.
