The increased attention this petition has received has prompted an initial meeting request from the administrative office. We are now preparing a formal proposal for specific campus security upgrades to present during that discussion.

CSU takes thousands of dolars from the students, and underpay the professors, but they can't keep the premise secure.... We need to reconsider our priorities.
CSUSB is supposed to add back to the community. How can this happen when CSUSB is a place where students get assualted and robbed?
With San Bernardino being one of the most unsafe cities in California, and taking into account the recent criminal incidents CSUSB and San Bernardino police should react aggressively to ensure students and staff the safety of our campus. I shouldn't feel afraid to walk to my car.
Not only do we need campus security but we need them to be walking around doing their job. If we pay more and all they do is sit around and talk then we aren't getting anywhere.
Make school police visible on campus grounds and more patrolling at the parking lots, even if it's just an empty police vehicle parked there. Make the vehicle and police personnel visible to everyone to deter more crimes.
Having more security in and arouns the school would help, especially the Parking Lot structure to ensure the safety of the students and myself.
it would help and if we can't work this in the budget for our students safety I'm not comfortable with not knowing that it's potentially dangerous on campus for anyone as well as myself.

I agree, security should be increase, instead patrolling around campus by driving only, they should used another method for example bicycles, golf cars (I don't know the appropriate name for that) but you get the point. I don't feel safe and now I feel so comfortable going to school especially that I have a class in the night.
