Waltham Forest Council seems to bask in its philistinism, arrogance, and total
lack of sensitivity. The Mall project is a perfect example of architecture as oppression, in opposition to human scale and environmental need.
Obviously they, and the Greater London authorities, are working to a different definition of culture than any that we in the creative community are able to recognize. We will therefore take no part in this meaningless vanity project initiated by the Council.

The destruction of the town square is an act of extreme cultural vandalism which must not be allowed to go ahead.
To destroy the only green area in a busy town centre? Who's idea was it? No, I don't want a tower build there!

Certainly the Council has not shown any regard for local residents and their opinions. No more will I vote for them (and my vote goes back to the Wilson Government in the 60s).

Ugly tower block development that will use open space and destroy 81 trees! Ghastly! ! What happened to taste and beauty and civic pride?
