There is no shoulder. It is not safe for children to walk from their homes to the bus stops.

We live on salmon river road and walk and cycle regularly. Too many times we have been so close to being run over by speeding drivers or blown off the road by large trailers or transports !

Beautiful place to walk but being a resident on Salmon River Rd, it's unsafe to walk because of no shoulder and fast traffic.

We need a safer option for people walking or biking along Salmon River Rd. I can't even allow my children to take the bus home as the bus stop is around a blind corner with no shoulder for them to walk on either side and an embankment on the one side as well. We have witness multiple single vehicle accidents along this road because people were simply not paying attention and going too fast. One of these days someone is going to be killed or seriously injured.

Speed enforcement and safety of residents should be a priority. Seems like most residents are unable to enjoy their community. This fault lies directly on the municipal governments. You need to fix this

When our family resided on Noble Rd we always wanted to use Salmon River Rd. for bike riding or walking with the kids. However it wasn’t safe to do so with traffic going 70km/h at best. Currently as a District 83 School Bus Driver, we have several students that wait to board and disembark our buses along that road daily and a walking path would allow them a safe place to travel to and from the bus.

There are no shoulders on the road for pedestrians and far too much traffic for cyclists to safely ride. It is very dangerous for the families who live, work, farm, commute and play in Spallumcheen.
Leave our land alone
