On February 14th, 2018, 17 people were murdered at the school shooting at Stonewall Douglas High School. Students are leaving class for 17 minutes on March 14th at 10 AM, honoring one minute for every victim. Let's have Oakton join the mourning!
I am currently meeting with the school administration to demand that they allow students the space to honor these seventeen lives. Please email your local representatives today to let them know that the Oakton community expects them to prioritize our safety over political excuses.

The momentum behind this walk is growing and we need to channel that energy into action now. Email your local school board representative to confirm their support for the walk and text three friends to ensure they are ready to step out of class with us.

Enough is enough. Every U.S. legislator who votes against gun control should be listed publicly so people will know NOT to support them.
