This petition is directed towards the Indian Government and other concerned authorities to highlight the demand of a large number of NRIs regarding voting facilities at Indian Consulates. Giving voting rights to NRIs is a progressive step but what needs to be really done is providing them a chance to exercise their right from their current country of residence rather than making them come all the way to India for doing the same. India receives a lot of remittance and investment capital from NRIs and they really think that they deserve to have a say in electing the governments. Giving them the RIGHT TO VOTE at the Indian Consulates would be a landmark step in keeping the bonds strong. Please vote for this petition and support this just demand.

Living in the US for 10 years now and it is ridiculous that I have to fly back just to cast a ballot. We contribute so much to the economy, the least they can do is set up a booth at the consulate.
