Many people lost their benefits earlier this year when Maine Care made changes. These are people who desperately need support and now they don't get this support. Their benefits must be reinstated

Bottom line, folks need medical insurance! Many of the elders we care for in our facility utilize MaineCare for there stay. Without it they will be discharged to the street. Is that what our society wants?

The elephant in the room that is MOST often Not spoken of, especially by politicians , such as a want a be running for governor, is that the majority of persons/ residents of long term facilities in Maine receive Medicaid(Maine Care). I am so weary of the old attack on families and single Mom's. This ME state is identified with the adornment of the most aging per capita! Let's be honest! STOP utilizing an age old misperception that appeals to "working" persons.The working poor need affordable medical care too! They have also earned it!

We need to have more people on health insurance/Mainecare as it improves the health of Maine citizens. By providing more people with healthcare, we reduce the expense of emergency and acute hospital care
