Please people of sint maarten it's time to stand up for our selves! We need this help and what is so bad about a better border control and a integrity chamber that oversees what the needed money is spent on!? I vote no confidence in our government.
William.. Needs to step down aid? he dropped the ball shelters? he dropped the ball law and order? he dropped the ball border? he dropped the ball relief funds? he dropped the ball Sxm got to drop him ...now
Integrity chamber and better boarder control are things we should want and have, regardless of the current situation. If our current Priminister is unable to see/achieve that, he is not the right person for the job.
He was unprepared and unwise to sign a state of emergency for 3 days. Allowed chaos to reign in our little island!!! Airport resumes flights and he leaves for personal reasons during our rebuilding phase. He is pushing help from the dutch aside for his own personal reasons! What kind of leader is he?
We need to do better And be better. Since 1995 one would think that a plan would be in place... we have none nothing just hoping that THE dutch Will save our ass again. We dony deserve to be a country. Time to get back to basics And provide a better infrastructure Health care And education for our people.
Time to clear up this mess.
Its really weird that Mr. William Marlin does not realise that sooner or later he will have to resign, for crossing the redline by not supporting the people of SXM in this crisis. The government of SXM has no other choice then to accept the two conditions required for the aid from the Dutch government. Its time now that the SXM government makes a decision so that the entire community can benefit from and move forward. Playing political games is no longer an option in the present situation. St.Maarten comes first.

From the first day after Irma i lost it already. They did nothing, didn't sign what needed to be signed and then every business had to get looted and robbed of there property and there for crippled the sxm economy overnight. They are responsible not signing in time!
