Seems to be unlogical to put solar panels for large companies in the country of Spotsylvania where it is supposed to be quite and peaceful. Take thousands of acres away to make something else beneficial for large companies. What about all the people that live out there. What about all that wildlife and other things y'all will be uprooting. And what will happen if these solar panels cause wildfires due to how dry it becomes? I think everyone should think and put ALL of the pros and cons into the thinking process.

This is an absolute disaster to our county, land and wildlife. The process has already cause disgust in the county and the fact it's being considered is absurd.

This is not whats in the best interest for our pubic welfare, safety or fit the comprehensive county plan. Why on earth should we taxpayers subsidize huge tax credits to sPower, Microsoft and Apple? We get 0 (ZERO) electricity out of this massive project and all the risks? They have deforested 25% of the county doing this...how can that be green? 1.8 cadmium telluride filled panels does not sound green to me. You still have to have traditional backup energy sources for the days when its cloudy, rainy or dark so its truly not a savings. Its been shown that electricity rates go up where solar plants are installed because of this. sPower stands to make BILLIONS off of this deal.....and we will be helping to fund that. Please DENY the SUP to sPower.

I think it is a really bad idea and it just amazes me that they dont care how it will affect all of our home prices or narrows the pool of people that we would be able to sell to. my property will be bordering this ridiculous monstrosity and I cant see how it doesn't affect property values and desirability, I am blue collar and our homes equity is a peice of the puzzle in our retirement but who cares big companies snatching the money out of areas just like Freddie mac and Fannie did in the housing bubble. let alone the ecological effects and wild life displacement and what about the aquifer ?. and from my understanding none of the power that these panels will be producing will help subsidize the electrical usage in the county to the citizens to help possibly lower rates, nope just one big sham!!!!!!.

Why should we pay for something that is going to benefit companies and not us. We need something that will help the residents of Spotsylvania not hurt us.

Keep this monstrosity out of our county! It has no business being placed in or near residential areas. WE are Spotsylvania County. Don't make us test dummies for sPower!

There is too many unknowns with the project and the risks far outweigh the reward. There is simply no apparent benefit to the citizens of Spotsylvania. Stop sPower NOW!

Site A will surround my home on 3 sides. The unknown health risk to my family by living on a solar plant is terrifying. And I say living on it because our home is literally a notch into the plant. Stop SPower!

If this solar farm is approved it will significantly impact Spotsylvania for the worse. We will leave the county and move elsewhere to avoid being anywhere near this atrocity. Not only are solar panels not as efficient as they try to tell you, spower is made up of shady business practices and this will not help create jobs for Spotsylvania and it’s citizens. They will bring in people from out of state and there will be very few jobs. This is a farse to get land and destroy our county.

We just recently purchased Lot 1327 in Orchard Hill at Fawn Lake. We are absolutely stunned to think of a mega-watt solar collection farm located anywhere near where what would be our new home. With all of the rural areas in the Commonwealth of Virginia and even in Spotsylvania, why would the elected officials even consider that this would be a good thing for their citizens in a residential area? Totally wrong! Vote no to this ugly monster! Put it somewhere where there are ZERO homes!!! At this point, if it is approved by the Board of Supervisors (BOS), we would gladly lose our deposit and walk away before we are totally committed to ruination in years to come. The BOS really need to review the history of Steve Creamer and the other people involved in sPower and its partnerships. They are not good people. Do your job and due diligence BOS..... VOTE NO!!!!!
