BOS and PC: please do not allow your personal greed, ego and ignorance to dictate the welfare of your county. We DO NOT give you permission to use us as guinea pigs as part of a project that only mega corporations will benefit. If the county needs money, let’s discuss ways that are beneficial in bringing in new jobs and opportunities to it. I’m assuming you swore an oath when you took office, that of “protecting your constituents.” Protect Spotsylvania, now!

The idea of tearing out 6000 acres of forest to install solar in an area with limited sun defies logic and common sense.

Risks and unknowns far outweigh the benefits.
Not to mention that the whole premise of "Going Green" is a sham designed to redistribute wealth, implemented by Obama era big government bureaucrats.

This is an expensive experiment by non local LLCs destroying our roads, land, air and water, financed by our taxes for the benefit of big business, VA and Spotsy want to look green, well we do! As naive and inexperienced sell outs. There is all risk and no reward in this plan. Please do your Job Spotsy BOS and PC. Only people in favor are being paid. Rest of us and our kids will foot the bill.

Spotsylvania county does not need a solar power so close to many neighborhoods which will disvalue existing homes and communities.

Please vote NO to this massive solar plant. It will destroy Spotsylvania County.....increased taxes, cost of decommissioning, real and potential environmental risks (erosion, trench burning, contamination of soil & aquifer if panels break open, deforested land, impact on already endangered species), increased traffic on narrow windy roads with no berm, delayed fire/police/EMS response times during construction, loss of property value and decreased tax base, no potential to hold sPower accountable due to multiple LLCs, and destruction of the beautiful landscape and county we call home! This is fitting with the comprehensive plan created for Spotsylvania County. If these are not enough reasons, to vote NO.....consider what you are leaving your children and grandchildren.
