Our roads are not suitable for big trucks which certainly would be needed to transport these solar panels even if they would come by train. Also, we would not even benefit from this cheaper power. I vote no.

Is there really no better location for a 3,500 acre solar power plant than in land zoned "agricultural" that sits next to a major residential community? Can ANYONE articulate what the net benefits are to Spotsylvania County residents for granting a special use exemption to a thinly-capitalized Limited Liability Company that will result in a downward re-valuation in the taxable value of more than 1,000 homes, the enormous loss in property taxes to Spotsylvania County which will result, potential damage to the watershed (which the LLC will not indemnify us for) and enormous contingent liabilities the LLC is designed to protect its owners from? (Is there any other rationale for AES and AIMCo hiding behind a shell company?) I've listened patiently to the pros and cons...and I'm still waiting to hear a single convincing argument why any "unconflicted" member of the planning commission / Board of Supervisors with the LONG-TERM interests of its residents in mind would ever vote to approve this.

There are just too many unanswered questions--the project is too large--to let this go forward.

I absolutely say no to the solar panels because of the unknown.

Minimal benefit to Spotsylvania County, no benefit to me or my family or my neighbors. Big mistake.

This will kill property values and will harm the beautiful wildlife in the area.

Does not help the county ultimately

Wrong place for a solar farm of this magnitude. No benefit to the area with too many possibilities for problems both foreseen and unforeseen.
