Vote NO on Mega Solar Industrial Plant

Have property in Orange County within 3000 feet of the edge of plan field. I do not think it is a good thing for the area. I live in Spotsylavania County if you can pay half on a water line how about making sure everyone has access to the internet we who live in lower end of county at lake would like that.

Please vote NO on this special use permit.

The proposed solar farm has been totally misrepresented. It will not produce supplemental, clean power, all of which sPower's customers will buy. It will produce nuisance power that the utility must buy at a higher cost than what it can produce it for, and will need to be accommodated or dumped, increasing electricity prices for everyone; will increase atmospheric carbon by eliminating 3,500 acres of trees; and the only thing sPower's customers will buy is credits to reduce their taxes. The entire project is a scheme to siphon public money. It will cost us taxpayers and power customers hundreds of millions of dollars, subsidizing almost a third of the investment, paying higher rates for power, paying more in taxes, etc.

No to solar panels

I do not oppose alternative energy sources. But we must be able to locate solar plants as well as other unpleasant necessities...ie., sanitary land fills, etc.,....where they are not buttressing next to residential areas. Let’s use common sense when granting special use permits for such projects.

sPower is the conglomerate that wants to build a mega solar power plant in residential area. Not the right project for Spotsylvania.

This HUGE solar farm should NOT be so close to any residential areas. This land is not zoned for this. It is for agricultural and residential use. Build it FAR away from residents.

yes this is Fleta DelBianco , my husband and I have signed the petition and would like it noted that we are totally against the solar plant/farm coming to Spotsylvania Va. it will not only be terrible for the human impacted but also for the wildlife of Va. it will endanger the Habitat for many. plus put stress on the areas of land that have to make up for wildlife living. we have deer, Gray fox, Red wolfs, Skunks, Vultures, Wild Turkeys, Squirrels, Bear, Bob cats, Beaver, ground hogs, many Species of Birds, Eagles, hawks, owls, Bats Coyotes, Chipmunks, salamanders, Egrets, Flying squirrels, Heron, house Mouse, Opossums, woodrats, Raccoons, red Foxes snakes, frogs, toads, turtles, lizards, Bats, and the list goes on. God gave us these beautiful things for good of the body, spirit of heart and pleasing to the eye. plus they keep the lands in harmony for human life. please consider them important too.
