The whole survey has been appallingly handled and it cannot be supposed that members support any changes.

Stop the introduction of Champion Class

Badly worded and executed. Introduction will see further reduction in exhibit numbers possibly leading to smaller regional clubs becoming financially insecure or resulting in their demise.

I was one of the members who never received an email, so was not able to vote.

There are numerous reasons to NOT introduce this champion class.

I put my heart and soul into supporting the dog show community and I’m terrified that this champion class will completely destroy dog shows I am all for positive change, but there is nothing positive about this class being introduced

This class should be an additional class. The Champion class should not replace Australian Bred, Open nor Intermediate. The survey was poorly worded and biased and as it was promoted as a survey the findings should not be found that people voted on it. If want to have people officially vote then have it sent out and be counted by AEC. Dog show clubs are struggling to survive and this is a death knell for them.

So many things wrong with how the survey was conducted. Sent without notice via an unrecognised email address led to many discarding or deleting the email amidst security concerns. No lead in time. The only discussion had was on the online forum of Facebook - not at all acceptable. An incredibly poorly worded proposal without enough explanation. This should never have gone to members in the way that it did. The vote was close and not enough margin to warrant this huge change.

I think that the champion class is a stupid idea that will reward mediocrity and drive away competitors thus another nail in the dogs showing events.
