This will kill the small regional areas of Qld, from 130 dogs down to 40 or 50 as many put multiple dogs in the show , so if they have to go too champion class no one will put in multiples

I don't believe the introduction of a Champions class will resolve the issue of increasing entries so I am not in favour

The questions were loaded to support a predetermined outcome. Many members did not receive the survey, there was no explanation offered by the Member Bodies prior to being sent the email. This proposal will further reduce entries as those with more than one champion enter less dogs

Against this concept. Voted no as firmly believe it will impact already low entries. Personally I will be going from three dogs entered to only one and once he is titled I will be walking away from dog sports if this continues

I worked at the State Election recently and was surveyed on my experience, the processes used, efficiency, and whether we conducted a fair election. An election of any sort needs checks and balances. This Champion Class vote had no checks and balances regarding why some did not vote.
I did not get the original email from Vero and took action 12th April ringing Vero on 1300702898 on reading about it on facebook, having already searched junk folders etc. Identifying myself by name/email explaining nothing received, - the guy identified an error straight away in the email address on the database. Recorded was the letter L instead of the number 1 as part of my address. , - this was not my error but had been supplied to them and not by me. Had I not seen facebook I would have known nothing and had been unable to vote but I corrected the error and voted No in this Champion Class thing as could see what it will do in Specialty Shows. I corrected the error on the database on Dogs SA records that same day
I put it to you based on multiple comments here people left off the email because their data was wrong but receipt was assumed while opportunity denied. Letters were not sent either.....delivery was assumed via email. This is evident by many saying they received nothing. How many "yet to vote" figure could have voted NO but was denied opportunity? I could have been one of them but found out via facebook and took action immediately.
How many of you now who could not vote will take action and ask why via the right portal ? "Was the vote fair and just?.......Did it give all members a voice? Possibly not

I voted no….there was no discussion with members, no research, no warning….it came out of the blue.
This idea needs further thought, research and discussion.
Various formats/proposals/options of the envisaged structure of classes needs to be sent to members for discussion before voting on changes takes place.
I am not against change but change needs to be thought through throughly with membership involvement.
No system will be perfect nor satisfy everyone but everyone should have the ability to discuss changes before a vote suddenly appears out of the blue.
More platforms need to be used in these discussions as not all DA members are computer savvy or on FB.
Just my thoughts.
