2015 Tiguan, 55k miles, P0299 code with the failed wastegate (non-serviceable part). Annoying that a relatively simple part of the turbo isn't serviceable and requires a completely new part, especially when it's at the level of this 'known issue'

I own a 2013 tiquan purchased new. Regular maintainance. At 62, 000 I have to replace the turbo. I am very unhappy and will. Spend the next hours on the phone with VW of America

Turbo replaced at 60,000 miles, needs to be replaced 2 years later at 80,000 miles.

2014 Tiguan, Turbo failed in Dec. 2017, warranty covered. Turbo Failed again yesterday, needs a new turbo, costs $3900. 44,000 miles.

2013 Tiguan, 50K miles, check engine light on and got the underboost code. Has the valve replaced but didn't help. The whole turbo will need to be replaced, which quoted about $3K

This really stinks, first a huge valve job and now the turbo charger. VW Design flaws.
My 2013 Tiguan has the same issue.
