Have low mileage on 2017 Tiguan like 24,456 engine light came on and took to dealer and they say its the Turbo Charger. They also said not normal for car with low mileage

My wife and I both have 2012 Tiguans. One from new and the other one since 2015. Both had turbo replaced around 60,000 miles. Now it needs replacing again

I bought my tiquan in 2013 brand new 2013 I was using gas all the time couldn’t understand it went for all oil changes etc I don’t drive it a lot I’m 66 only 53,000 miles on it. The turbo was under warranty when it was replaced first time now it’s 8 years later and going to get my sticker the check Engine light came on it’s the turbo again. I also have panoramic sun roof as well problems my car is flooding water from the tubes not working correctly. It can cost a fortune as they have to take the headliner off meanwhile know have a stinky musty smell in my car. I called vw no recalls on anything I can definitely say I’m not happy with all these issues. I will never buy another vw and will tell everyone I know and social media beware stay away from vw.

2016 Tiguan. Same issue. Just two months after 5 year warranty expiry and with only 38,000 miles. All scheduled warranty services done on time and at VW dealerships. This just isn't right! We have another VW (EOS) and were considering the new VW electric ID4 but this has put us off VW altogether. They should be standing behind this problem. Given our mileage and service record this is obviously a manufacturing problem.

Check engine light is on and Volkswagen dealer is telling me my turbo is going out it needs to be replaced or just less than $3000. There is no recall and my car does not have enough miles on it to have a turbo issue

I’m in Calgary and this happened in June 2020. The Tiguan had 72000 Klm on it and I cost me $2600

I just had my second Turbo failure in the 9 years I’ve owned the car. The first was under warranty. Definitely a flaw in VW’s design. They should own up to it. They flew in the VW team when this happened in 2014.

I bought this car about 4 months ago in a buy as is dealership. A couple weeks later the engine light came on and the air bag light as well. This car has just 109 miles.. I thought I was a good deal and I always thought this brand was great. To repair both is about 4K with the dealer! I paid 7.500 for the car, cash. Now, fixing it will put me over 11k. I could get me something nicer! Wrong brand? Don’t know? Still driving it, run good and the car is in a pristine condition in and out. Help us please.
