I have a 2016 Tiguan with less than 50k miles. It is ridiculous that this part has failed. The dealer wants $4,872.94 to repair the waste gate.

2015 Tiguan, wastegate failed around 60k miles. Dealer replaced. Requested financial help from VW, got none. Now at 94k, they recommend a new engine, extreme scoring of #3 cylinder, following a cleaning of intake valves while manifold was replaced under warranty.

Same issue with my 2016 Tiquan, bought in 2018 (used) Turbo replaced in 2019 at $26,000.00 now in 2022 with $46,000 turbo went again. Dealer is stating it will cost me $3,100.00 and warranty expired. Something is really wrong!

2013 tiguan having the same issue. Vw of America was not helpful. Update: there has been a recent class action lawsuit filed in NJ for this exact issue - filed June 2022

I have a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SE.. I bought the car in 2020 with around 35K miles on the car.. my Turbo failed at 89K.. I have to replace it now. My car is like new with one previous owner that Leased it. I maintenance my car only at the Volkswagen dealership. I dont drive aggressive. It is ashamed I now have to spend so much for this Repair. :(

When a part failure is a running joke with mechanics, VW should step in and make it right. 2016 under 80K miles. $4000 for the new turbo.

My car 2010 VW Tiguan 1.4 tsi petrol engine. White or greay heavy smoke coming from exhaust. Then I went to the dealer. They check diogenes test & compression test. They told me engine damage. Then they gave to me £628 bil. I paid. Then sadly drive back my home. Only 71000 miles only. In my life never buy VW and never recommended.
