I have a 2017 VW Tiguan that now needs a new turbo charger.. $2900 (discounted) was told by Noyes VW of Keene that they repair at LEAST one of these a week…… but STILL no recall.

At 44 k miles tguan went into limping mode on fwy almost getting hit by a semi. It fail after 290 miles after the injector harness was replaced because injector #2 was misfiring we did a obd2 inspection and now injectors 12&4 where misfiring took to dealer for repair and turbo getting replaced under warranty we hope that runs ok for now

My 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is inoperable because of a malfunctioning turbo charger. This is a common problem with these vehicles and other vehicles manufactured by Volkswagen.

I’m experiencing leaky valves, head gasket leaks, misfires . Multiple oil every year I’ve never had major work done outside of VW. 98k miles ..why is there a leak? I believe subpar manufactured parts are the cause.
2013 Tiguan R Line with the dreaded P0299 turbo underboost. Too much play in the wastegate linkage. Literally every Tiguan owner I know has the same problem.

At 110K miles and have taken great care of my 2015 Tiguan. The check engine light came on and it was the turbocharger. It is going to cost around $4500 to get it fixed.

2013 Tiguan 100k just had check engine light come on w/ P0299 code. Turbo needs replaced, quoted 5k for the repair. Very disappointed as I've kept my car in great shape.

I am running into the same problem with mine. Tiguan 2015 low mileage, I am the only owner and always have taken good care of my vehicle so I am quite upset at this unxpected bill when it seems like it is a known issue.

PO299 error code. Driven safely. At about 129k miles with a 2011 tiguan. The turbo has already been replaced once around 100k by previous owner.
