My 2015 Tiguan with 71000km on it has issues on Turbo. It tossed P0299 error code. The mechanic did smoke test for leak. There is no leak and he said the turbo is not working properly and need replacement. Who expects to replace a turbo at such low mileage? VW should be more responsible for this.

My 2017 Tiguan turbo charger failed. Same issues same code. Turbocharger full of oil and now needs to be replaced.

My 2021 Tiquan needs a turbo charger. Last summer (2023) my vehicle was with the dealership for over two months because of check engine light was on. All kinds of tests were done. Six months later my turbo charger goes out. I made contact with Volkswagen for some kind of assistance in repairs. They told me they would not help me. The turbo charger alone is over $2600 and they are the only ones that have it.

Bought a used 2016 Tiguan, 82,000 miles and the turbo charger just went out
