85k miles and was told 2k repair bill. I have no way of paying for this repair any new updates? I have a 2013 with 6k left to pay. Dealership will only give me 2.5k as a trade in so I am completely out of luck.

I have 75k on my 2015 Tiguan, and my mechanic has told me that the turbo unit is on its last leg. If this not address, this will be my VW.

Same issue with a 2015 Tiguan. The authorized shop tells me I was lucky that the rod failed open. The tag on the repair is $3,200!!

Seems VW has issues with the turbo. I have a 2012 with 143,000 miles and have been getting check engine lights coming on and codes out to be low turbo boost. Told that it needs to be replaced. Also had have shufting issues even with the software update. I have had this car since brand new. Love it, that is until now. Seeing how many people who have had the same issue, and VW does nothing. Please add me to this petition.

Had to replace on 2017 Tiguan 30k miles. Luckily still under warranty. Cost 5g’s to replace. Volkswagen should recall on this issue. It’s not only Tiguan other cars have the same problem and they knew about it.

Yes, same costly problem. I have lost thousands of dollars on the resale and repairs.
