The Board at Village at Cologne North is proposing a clarification to the rules and regulations for exterior lighting.
The proposal is as follows:
Permanant Exterior Lighting is allowed with the following conditions (does not include existing light fixtures or landscape lighting):
1. Permanent exterior lighting must match the color of the soffit under the roof.
2. Lighting must be along roofline to include outline of home.
3. It must be placed under the soffit.
4. All cording must be concealed (not hanging).
5. Lighting to comply with 11:00 pm rule.
6. An ARC request is necessary to install permanent lights.
Please sign to signify you have read this. The board is encouraging any and all comments.
There needs to be language included about permanent lighting being allowed all year long, not just during the holiday timeframe. I think the permanent lighting is nice, love how the colors can be changed and think people should be allowed to have it if they want. I also think backyard lighting should be separate - if someone wants to have party lighting along fencing or an arbor or even around their patio in pots, this should be allowed.
