On the 14/15th July 2014 Gamespy terminated the last of its servers. Sadly, the server that hosted the Playstation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 also closed down.
That action meant the game is no longer playable in any multi-player mode and, unfortunately, LAN settings are no longer configurable either.
The only way for UT3 to come back to the PS3 platform is in the form of a patch that will redirect the game to another host, or allow the user to host a LAN game with tunneling software.
This petition is hopefully the 'foot in the door', in respect towards getting our game back.
So... if you miss UT3 on the Playstation 3, please sign this petition to show your love for the game.
The sheer weight of this support proves the suits at Epic Games cannot simply bury our community in the dark. We are forcing them to look at the mess they made when they abandoned the PS3 servers.

srsly, I just bought 6 copies for my ps3 LAN party... but hey, how should I know that developers erase features that were previously available like LAN... Why do you even do this? This makes no sense. It makes me angry.

Good games should live forever. I love Unreal very much and want to spend my time in online warfare with my friends. This game is unique. Please, revive servers.

I understand the servers went dead. That happens to a lot of games, but why patch the ps3 to disable lan capability. If I have multiple playstations, I should have the right to play the game multiplayer privately!

Treating your cutomers like garbage is not an ethical way to do business. Give us the patch for the game or a refund of some type.

The UT3 / PS3 Community deserves an answer, we can't be just push aside and what about the next PS4 version?

lol ffrr here.... Just thought I'd keep this alive and see how many people signed it, now that this is 12 years old. Apparently the PS3 emulator runs ut3 and it's possible to hexedit the elf file to update the single line of code stopping the game from connecting to a proper server... Anyway I'm still optimistic the PS3 version will be resurrected. Looking forward to that day and playing with anyone that finds Thier way to it!

At the very least they could patch the game to skip the PSN/Gamespy logon requirement just to start a simple LAN game. This would be a perfect game for 2 PS3s with 2 users on splitscreen, making it a 4-player LAN. I really can't see what the trouble would be. An afternoon for changing a .dat-file or such? Jeez. The game is broken and I can't understand why they won't at least fix it partially. Let XLink KAI do the rest if it's such a big trouble.
