Petition to Professor Bill Lovegrove, Vice Chancellor, University of Southern Queensland The undersigned staff and students of USQ call on you to save the Coffee Club at USQ Toowoomba. We note that the university has decided to close the Coffee Club. The Coffee Club is the only pleasant indoor space at the university for having a coffee or a meal. It performs a vital function for staff wanting to discuss issues in an informal environment, or simply relax during the day. All we will be left with is the refectory, which is large, open and impersonal. This will mean a significant degradation in the already unsatisfactory quality of facilities at the university. We also call on you to restore the meal service provided by the Coffee Club until recently, and now transferred to the stand-up kiosk in the "hub" of the refectory building.
