Deer are becoming a serious pest in the Tasmanian environment and needs to be managed more effectively. It is a win win equation if the deer numbers are reduced and the resource is used to benefit the Tasmanian economy.

Unlikely to happen Angus .... but if you help get this change over the line by forwarding petition to all your Tasmanian contacts you will then be able to negotiate access to your property with Professional, licensed shooters. That negotiation may or may not involve a per head dollar amount for every deer culled!

Can’t see any reason not to cull them considering they are a feral animal!

The population is out of control and the amount of damage to fences, trees and crops is immense. An intelligent solution to a growing problem.

We are trying to grow young trees in tree guards we might as well give up if we don't do something to control the deer.

They are growing exponentially in population size every year. If you want Australian habitat, you cannot have wild deer.
