OUR MISSION: Of the nine school districts in the state of Virginia with 30,000 or more students, Loudoun is the ONLY ONE without advanced arts programs! The mission of UPtheARTS is to work with the administration and school board to make advanced performing and visual arts programs available to LCPS’s exceptional student artists.
Our immediate goal for the 2014-15 school year is a pilot magnet program. Our 1 to 3 year goal is additional arts magnet programs and our 5-year goal is a Loudoun Academy of the Arts.
Please sign our petition if you agree that Loudoun's exceptional student artists should have opportunities to be challenged by more advanced classes, putting them on a more even playing field when applying for competitive college programs.

It's time we focus on something other than sports
I believe that Loudoun County students should have access to higher level arts programs just as they have access to higher level math and science programs.

As a current 8th grader, I would love the opportunity to attend an advanced-level arts program when I get to high school.
