Kennesaw Arts Charter (KAC) is petitioning to become a Georgia Commission Charter School servicing talented kids in the 5th - 8th grades for the 2011-2012 school year. KAC will start with 5th - 6th grades its first year and add a grade each year thereafter until it reaches 8th grade.

The Kennesaw Arts Charter School is a tuition-free public charter schools offering a rigorous college-preparatory academic curriculum and conservatory-style training in the visual and performing arts.

KAC will service youths living in Cobb (including the City of Marietta), Cherokee, DeKalb, Fulton, and Paulding counties. Many students and parents continue to inquire about enrolling at KAC for the current 2011-2012 school year. We are encouraging all students who may be interested in attending Kennesaw Arts to apply online. If a space becomes available in your desired arts area, you will be contacted for an audition.

If you are interested in this exciting opportunity for your child(ren), please show your support by signing this petition and visitiing the website at www.TOCSk12.org to place your child(ren) on the list of interested parents.

Sincerely,

Janelle Coutain, CEO

My daughter loves to dance and our local middle school just doesnt have the program she needs. This is such a great idea for Cobb County!

YES! We need more arts in our schools. Public schools cut the budget on this stuff way to much. Hope this gets approved soon.
