The city finally retreated and our neighborhood plan stays intact. We forced Austin officials to respect our community instead of selling us out to developers. This fight proved that we are not going to let them run over our streets.

The Brentwood/Highland Neighborhood Plan provides a framework for increased density and growth while maintaining and improving the vibrant neighborhoods it serves. I oppose the proposed changes to the Brentwood Neighborhood Plan Future Land Use Map and associated zoning change requests for the Shia Properties and the State Trooper Properties at Houston St., Sunshine Dr., and North Lamar Blvd.

The developers are trying to bulldoze our neighborhood plan to line their pockets at our expense. City Hall is ignoring our concerns but these signatures prove we are watching their every move.

The plan was put in place for a reason. Quit trying to change everything just to make developers more money.
Living off Houston st and the traffic is already a nightmare. This will make it impossible to get anywhere.
Keep the neighborhood character the way it is. We dont need more massive apartments clogging up our streets and traffic.
Enough with the rezoning already!! The city keeps selling us out to developers and ignoring the people who actually live here.
Our streets are packed as it is. Dont let them build it.

Austin cant handle this much density without any infrastructure updates. Stop the project.
