The local authority confirmed today that the full upgrade of the main water supply line is now locked into the capital investment plan. This outcome was driven by the formal documentation we submitted last quarter. I will monitor the procurement process to ensure the timeline for construction remains firm.

We the people of South Inishowen are calling a for a full upgrade of the main water supply line from the Eddie Fullerton Dam.

Far too frequently, this supply line bursts and impacts upon thousands of people from Buncrana, Fahan, Inch, Tooban, Burnfoot, Bridgend, Muff, Netwoncunningham and Killea.

This impacts on the way of life for thousands of residents. It affects out schools, medical facilities, community centres and businesses. It is simply unacceptable and would not be tolerated anywhere else in Ireland. We are simply calling for a consistent water supply as would be expected anywhere else.

The scale of this support has secured us a formal meeting with local infrastructure representatives. We are currently drafting the technical evidence to present during these discussions to ensure a permanent fix for the water supply line.

This summer alone I have not had water at my home on three occasions due to bursts on this line. Its irresponsible not to upgrade: capital costs to treat water in the first instance for then to be lost via substandard infrastructure. Thsi is being compounded by the continued 'quick fix' scenario and costs incurred at this juncture also. Absolutely baffling.

We the people of South inishowen have endured enough neglect..hardly a week goes by but we are without water due to distressed pipework .on top of this our water pressure has been reduced .it's not acceptable . REPLACE THE PIPEWORK ONCE AND FOR ALL .

In Maherabeg,/Tooban / Inch island 5 to 10 days per year we have no water due to burst pipes. They keep bursting beside where they were last fixed

This is ridiculous, the people of south Inishowen are being treated like second class citizens, with major mains burst a regular feature. The treatment by Irish water emplyees when calling to report and request updates it unacceptable. This service needs upgrading now.
