Sgt Anthony Park is a small park but is the ONLY park in the South Heights Journal Sq area. All of the equipment is over 20 years old.
Whilst many surrounding neighborhood parks have been built and improved, the Sgt Anthony Park has been neglected. The Playground set is rusted, broken and now dangerous for all of the children that use it every day. The dog run has been out of operation since it was put in as it has the wrong type of stones for dogs.
We call for the City of Jersey City to find funding for these areas of the park to be replaced and repaired so that children and members of the community are not hurt and can fully enjoy the park.

my kids play here literally every single day and the rust on those slides is getting real bad. city needs to step up and fix this place already.

A lovely small Chilltown gem which includes an ornamental community garden & playground...lovingly tended to by dedicated assoc members who are correct in their assessment for a long overdue upgrade to the latter.
