Upgrade Mutton Reserve Playground - Fawkner

PETITION SUMMARY
Mutton Reserve Playground is extensively used by the Fawkner and neighbouring communities as a recreational meeting place, and by families attending sporting activities/events at Mutton Reserve. It is possibly the most congested Adventure Playground in Fawkner, Melbourne.
Teaming with children from 6pm till about 9pm in dry weather, many parents - particularly mothers of various ethnic communities - unite for respite, exercise and to socialise.
The playground does not meet user capacity, with up to 40 people attending the space in good weather. Children and adults spill over into the oval or congregate onthe grass for lack of appropriate design and seating.
The adventure park is unsuitable to support the various age groups of the children, is in poorly maintained condition and outdated. There are several inadequate facilities to support the space and safety issues that need to be addressed.
