A thousand people clicked sign today which is honestly way more than I ever thought would happen (my laptop actually froze for a second when the notification popped up). It feels weirdly surreal to see all these names lining up for the same thing because I thought I was just being dramatic about the exam schedule.

we are almost at one hundred signatures and the momentum is actually kind of wild honestly but we have to push harder right this second if we want the department to even look at the proposal before the next board meeting hits. just open up your group chats or whatever social media you use and get people to sign because we really need this to break through the silence.

I think this is a really good idea because we are in the middle of a pandemic. Some are stressed, some are ill, some are looking after the ill. Online learning hasn’t been as efficient to everyone and since the situation is changed, the circumstances are different so the factors to test our ability need also be changed to fit.
I just feel like its alot of mental and physical pressure on alot of the students especially that most of of the income to the house had stopped with the quarantine i feel like the university should take studying seriously but also give us a better chance doing good this semester
Do one final exam at the beginning of next term Assignment are not a replacement for exams, and online exams could have lots of problem like connection, cheating... if something goes wrong it’s hard to communicate with the university
The students are signing this petition because they care about their studies..! In a time where the whole world is struggling.. Students are struggling to adjust to this online learning, therefore facilitating the midterms and finals is a solution to help students get over their struggles and learn properly!

and if the students under probation the Pass or Fail won't affect their academic standing

No to finals at the beginning of the next semester.. Projects and assignments replacing exams therefore no cheating can take place. Grading systems as usual no pass or fail unless there were exams to take because cheaters will get A’s with no effort. Finals replaced by projects and assignments no exam
