The University of Iowa Shooting Sports Club is an intramural sports club that allows students, faculty and community members the opportunity to engage in a variety of shooting sports disciplines for enjoyment and competition. Unfortunately, the club failed to submit two pieces of paperwork on time, thus resulting in it's suspension for the Fall 2018 Season. An appeal of the suspension to the University Recreational Services Department was unsuccessful.

The majority of the Shooting Sports Club's competitions happen in the fall. Additionally, not being able to practice, meet, or recruit puts the club in serious jeopardy of not maintaining participation for the Spring 2019 Semester, when the suspension will be lifted.

With this petition, we are requesting that The University of Iowa Shooting Sports Club be allowed to continue it's mission of providing a safe and respectful atmosphere for collegiate athletes during the Fall 2018 season.
