It started with the Android 4.0.4 update. Sure, it wiped out most of the issues plaguing the device but we had to wait FIVE months for it. That was five months of reception worse than I could get with a foil helmet on my head.
We told ourselves "its ok, we are still Nexus owners and this must have been a fluke". When rumblings of Jellybeen started we stood proud knowing that we were the newest Nexus phone and therefore should have been first in line to receive the update.
Jump to present time….we are all looking at each other and the only thing that we can get out is “WTF”!
Somehow the Verizon Galaxy Nexus has been passed up by not only the GSM phones (who have had it for months), but equal CDMA phones other carriers! Even the Sprint Nexus S is getting it before us!
This is absolutely unacceptable. I say Verizon needs to do something to fix this. Getting the update out won't be enough. They need to throw in something very enticing that says "we are sorry" or we are taking our business elsewhere. Sign this petition and show Verizon that we will not tolerate this lackluster business performance at our expense. We WILL go elsewhere!
I am currently drafting a formal letter to Verizon corporate representatives outlining the specific technical grievances documented here. The volume of signatures is providing the necessary leverage to request a meeting with their carrier relations team.

The volume of support has reached a level where we can now escalate this directly to the Verizon corporate relations office. I am finalizing a formal letter that outlines our grievances and specific demands for compensation regarding the update delays. Further updates will follow once I receive a response to these formal inquiries.
