The various branches of Asus ( Italy, North America and Asus Global) have said a few months ago that the tablets Asus Transformer TF101 and TF101G will not receive the update to version 4.1 Jelly Bean of Android , leaving them with only one update (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich).

Asus has never given valid reasons why TF101 and TF101G will not receive the update. And we doubt that there may be a valid reason.

Competitive tablets like the Motorola Xoom (which has the same hardware of Asus TF101/G) have received the update to Android 4.1 and smartphones like the Samsung Nexus S (which has lower technical specifications compared to TF101) have received the same update.

Established this, taking in mind also the minimum required by Jelly Bean 4.1, the Asus TF101/G is technically capable of supporting the new version of Android.
The tablet in question was released a year and a half ago and received only one update, among other things, full of bugs (in early versions), while Transformer Prime TF201 has received already two updates (Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean)

Due of Asus's choices and in accordance with the best interests of all consumers who own a product of this company participate in our initiative, because if it has been abandoned TF101/G, so will happen to your tablet.

So we ask a simple signature with truthful information to be forwarded to Global Asus, Asus Italy, Asus North America and to Asus's HQ and all Asus's Tek divisions.

P.S.And if you are not a Asus's device owner still you would sign the petition. Because all of us have a device that is non upgraded anymore but has plenty of potentiality. So don't leave us alone because the next in this situation could be you!

I have a lot of ASUS products and have always praised them to others. I now want an update to the TF101 ICS to JB. This now makes me rethink my loyalties to ASUS, and move to SAMSUNG. What a shame.

I have owned the TF101 original now for 2 yrs. It was great when first launched, but now it is so damn slow and apps crash left and right. ICS is outdated already, and Google announced sometime ago that they would like all devices to have one OS like Apple does now. So why can't Asus update to JB? At least give us a reason why you won't!!!

I'm really disappointed with asus for not upgrading the TF101 to a newer version of Android. Due to this, I'm not able to download some apps that I really would like on my tablet, like my tv-company's app for watching tv on the tablet and checking out the tv-guide.

I want my eepad TF101 updated. It has been faithful to me up til now but keeps crashing lately. If I needed another tablet I would buy Asus but if you don't support them then you will be losing my custom too and going elsewhere. Firms cant afford to upset customers nowadays as they soon go out of business. Please give us jelly been on our tablets :)

I have a tf101. After I bought it, my best friend and his girlfriend and father bought one as well because it is an amazing tablet. This is a mark on ASUS history as it is the original Transformer, which has become one of ASUS's largest franchises.

I own a TF101 and need to understand why the device is not being given an update when it is capable of running it.
