At this time many students may not have access to internet and are having trouble dealing with a ruff time at the moment.

I don't agree with some of these things, but hey, and A is an A.

I might not have the ability or bandwidth to tackle the larger systematic injustices at the moment, but I can sign this pledge.

I feel that is unfair to students who want to get a higher grade then they do know for there semester grade, but can't because of these confusing times.

Students should do work, but we should assume all are doing their best during this time. I

We all deserve the right to prioritize our health and well being. Grades are trivial when it comes to taking care of yourself and loved ones. As an educator, I believe if you uphold a grading system for your students during this pandemic you are perpetuating institutional racism and oppression toward who identify with BlPOC working class students and their communities.

Part of a teacher's effectiveness is organically responding to the needs of the students as they happen. When the student and teacher are separated, this effectiveness is significantly reduced and potentially obliterated, turning the educational experience into lecturers and recipients. Decades of research have shown lecturing to be an ineffective method of instruction.

I am a current student in the masters program in special education at Fresno State. I work as a substitute teacher and currently without my primary source of income. This whole coronavirus situation is not easy and has made it extremely difficult to focus on academia.

All children deserve extra support and encouragement, especially during this unprecedented situation. Some students have access to virtual learning and homeschooling - others don't. A's for all.

This is a pandemic, deadlines and schoolwork’s should be the LAST of our problems at the moment; not to mention the lack of resources some students have. I don’t have reliable WiFi where I live yet I’m expected to log onto class for a grade.

Yes, it's okay to acknowledge that this is a crisis, one that we were unprepared for. Health is the priority now -grades later.

As a classroom teacher, I can't imagine how grades can be fair, right now.

We cannot expect teaching to occur. Maintenance should be the goal. The teachers will determine where to start in the fall. Neither parents or students should be stressed over this issue!!!

We talk about equity a lot. Let's see it in action.

To desperately cling to a status quo in this tumultuous time will only exacerbate the inequities that our students face everyday. Let school be a comfort and liberating force for them, not another point of anxiety.
