The competing associations have formally agreed to merge under a single certification. Legal counsel is now finalizing the transition documentation to ensure our interests remain prioritized. We will shift our focus to the upcoming leadership election.

We the members of the RCMP believe that competing unions or associations should unite for certification. Once certified the members will vote for who best should lead OUR union or Association. Time to put the interests of our members first.

The current momentum confirms this issue is a priority for the rank and file. I am now preparing a formal briefing document to present our position for certification to the relevant governing bodies.

We all know that we need a Union, let's make a united decision to allow this to happen. The sooner this gets done the sooner we will have a better future in this organization.
It is time to quit squabbling and come together. Once certified it will be up to the membership to decide who is on the executive committee. Those who wish to run can stand for election. Until we finally do unit and come together under one organization we will remain divided and without direction. If those who are the current executives of either association are truthful about putting the membership first then prove it by coming together and getting certification completed
In the best interests of the members overall, past and current differences need to be set aside. Move forward.
What we need is one voice, not more division. Please unite. We all have the same goal and that is to be represented.
I just want to be represented. The only way to get the numbers to force a vote is to join forces!
It's in the best interests of the members!

Agreed. If your interest is truly assisting us,then show us by uniting. Let's get this ball rolling, we are getting screwed more and more everyday by the lazy RCMP and the Treasury Board has shown its true colours as well. !!
