I have sent a formal letter to the executive boards of both associations outlining the request for a merger. Representatives from the local sports council have agreed to facilitate a preliminary discussion to review the current organizational structure.

My son just wants to play with his friends from school. Why is this still even a debate? Make it happen.
BIG YES. Way too much politics involved in minor hockey in this city. A single association would fix so many headaches for parents.
Its about time. Richmond hockey has been split for way to long and the kids are the ones losing out. Merge them already.

Finally someone said it. Separate associations just breed nonsense rivalries. One big club is the only way forward for our community.
