Thorpe Hall School is considering the implementation of unisex toilets for pupils.
This petition is for parents of all children in Years 7 - 11, who do not support this change.
Whilst we recognise and support measures to address the challenges in bathroom management that the school faces, we feel that such a move would not be in the best interests of the cohort at large.
As parents, we feel the safety, privacy and dignity of pupils would be at risk were such a change be implemented.
As such, those undersigned would ask that the school reconsider this decision and seek to explore other measures to address issues concerning bathroom use.
Absolutely no evidence to support theory that unisex loos will benefit children or school. Wealth of evidence to suggest danger to both sexes through invitation of allegation. Removal of dignity and privacy for both sexes. Erosion of sex based safeguarding boundaries.
