Due to people being retrenched, the current state of our economy doesn’t allow us any free time because we are covering for employees that where let go . Please consider the portfolios.

The process gives one anxiety, we already having problems with accessing MyModules on MyUnisa, how bad will we get on exam day when thousands of people logon to the system to upload, wrute and submit a paper? What happens if we run out of time trying to submit the exams because the system can't handle so many people online, or worse, crash?

I fully agree with this. I'm also a final year student and definitely want to finish this degree this year and apply for better opportunities.

There will be a lot of students who fail because of not being familiar with how the system works, which unisa didn't provide adequate time to familiarise students with the online system. Other things to consider are connectivity issues, scanning issues, technical issues when downloading/uploading question papers/answer papers. Other issues to consider are psychological and emotional issues experienced by a lot of students during these times, which will affect their performance. Unisa must really reconsider these online examinations, and rather turn the exams into portfolio exams in order to give every student a fair opportunity to pass. Some students can't afford to defer exams because of wanting to finish and start working, but they're forced to write cos of that, and I'm one of those students
