This is a petition to get the government to remove or cut the taxes on the cost of home heating fuel and auto fuel in half. The Minister of Finance said a few days ago on the radio said that there is no way they can protect us from the cost of the fuel. I think there is a way. They say they have a big surplus of money, well then why can't they remove the taxes from fuel or at least cut the tax by 60% or 70% It's pretty bad there are people out picking home heating over food, and people who drive to work everyday will have to pick fuel over food with the way prices are expected to rise by the summer. A lot of people are not going to be able to afford to live. This unreasonable amount they are charging is forcing seniors to get on a bus, and go to places like "Hub", the "Village Mall", and "Avalon Mall" because they can't afford to heat their homes all day long. Thus by doing this they save enough so they are able to afford to heat their homes at night. So I have created this petiton to try to encourage government to remove the taxes they charge on fuel or at least lower them. Please sign this petition, send it out to all your contacts, then CC a copy of it to me.
